Water is the most important element in Bali. Water is the basement of the hindu balinese faith called « religion of the holy water ». The location of our house was not chosen by chance. Besides being the capital of artists, the city of Ubud is sacred to the Balinese. Ubud is where all the rivers meet. These rivers are known for one of the oldest legends of Bali. Legend is that over 30 centuries ago a Saint came from India with his mostly sick disciples. The Saint and his disciples would have come to bathe in the Campuhan river and would all come out healed. It would be at that time that the city of Ubud would be born. Ubud is also called the "open water temple". 

You will enjoy a magnificent view of the rice fields from the villa Mimpi (dream in Indonesian). In Balinese beliefs, rice is a gift from the gods through its relationship with water.
